Early and Accurate Hearing Assessment
Response Audiometry, also known as Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) testing, is a quick, safe, and non-invasive hearing test that evaluates the function of the inner ear (cochlea). It measures the ear’s natural response to sound and is commonly used for newborn hearing screening and early detection of hearing loss.
The test requires no active response from the patient, making it ideal for infants, young children, and individuals who cannot participate in conventional hearing tests.
When is Response Audiometry Recommended?

How is the Test Performed?
During the test:
- A small soft probe is placed inside the ear canal.
